Water
Insulation Must Be Started From Drainage First. With A Good Drainage,
Pressurized Water Can Be Founded From The Foundation.
Due to their
functions, foundations are important building elements that are in direct
contact with the ground in all kinds of buildings and transfer all the loads
coming from the building to the ground. Water absorbed by the concrete or
proceeding by capillary means causes the reinforcement to corrode and
deteriorate the integrity of the reinforced concrete. For this reason, all
contact elements under ground must be removed from water.
Waterproofing
should be started from drainage first. With a good drainage, the pressurized
water that is likely to come to the foundation is removed from the foundation.
The pipe diameter to be used and how many rows will vary according to the
details of the project. First, the bottom cushioning of the drainage is made with
gravel filling and 150 gr / m² geotextile felt is laid. After 3-4cm stone chips
cushioning on the felt, drainage pipe is placed. Gravel filling is made in such
a way that the pipe is closed and the felt is bundled and closed.
One of the
most common application errors is the wrapping of felt around the pipe. The
soil felt that comes with the water clogs the holes of the pipe and therefore
the life of the drainage is considerably shortened.
